Removing the Stock Airbox

1. First, remove the right side panel.
2. There is a black hose that runs from the frame to the airbox. The service manual must be older than the TFR that I have because it is not mentioned in it. You will need to remove the air hose by pinching the clamps on each end as you slide the hose off.
3. there is a ring clamp that holds the airbox on to the carb. With a long screwdriver, angle it downward into an opening in the subframe and unscrew the clamp screw until it is loose.
4. pull the airbox back toward the rear wheel and pull it up and out. It should look like this:
It looks like the hose and intake from the frame were added on as an afterthought to the top of the air filter. Not sure why they do that.
